Todd .
I began playing guitar at age 16 when a high school friend introduced me to music. After noodling around for a few months with tunes like Mary had a Little Lamb (not the S.R.V. version), and Jingle Bells, I decided to get more involved in my musical education and at the recommedation of a friend, ordered an instruction tape and book called "Metal Method". It wasen't long before I was jamming on some Dio, Dokken, and Van Halen tunes. My family relocated to Houston, Texas in 1984. I then became involved in my first rock band, "Lucky Number" and played various high school functions including "Senior Aid" - a benefit for the senior class of '87. After playing for a crowd of a couple hundred people, I was forever hooked on rock 'n roll. Becoming influenced by more diverse and progressive bands and artists like The Police, Rush, Joe Satriani, Jimi Hendrix, U2, Journey, and some jazz-fusion bands, my playing began to improve in leaps and bounds. I soon started composing original music and became involved in an original funk-rock band called "Demise of Folly" and performed many gigs in the art districts of Houston. The band reformed and began gigging on a more regular basis as rock cover-band "Zero Gravity" and became a staple in the Houston cover scene. After performing with various other bands, Pyramid, Ivan and the Sliders, Lucy and the Drivers, Spare Parts and Vital Signs, my band resume qualified me as a seasoned vet. A change of events brought me back up to the northeast and after recovering from a medical operation I began to get involved in music again. After putting up an ad at a local music store, I soon found myself involved in a classic rock band which after a long duration and serveral personell changes, evolved into what is now known as Equinox.
